It’s hard to understand why they would not be affected, whereas dinosaurs were left too crippled to cope, especially if, as some scientists believe, dinosaurs were warm-blooded.

托福阅览解析：标题问问为什么作者要提及蛇，蜥蜴，海龟和鳄鱼的幸存。先经过snakes, lizards, turtles and crocodiles定位到段首句，这句说如果是对的，那么为什么这些动物能够在隆冬炎夏幸存呢。If true，说的是之前的内容，也就是上一段说的极点气候改变引起恐龙灭绝的理论如果是对的，though表明转机，所以经过这个问句，能够看出来，如果理论是对的，那么这些动物也该灭绝了，已然它们幸存了，那阐明是理论有问题，所以这句提出的问题就是在质疑前文观念的可靠性，答案选B。
A选项恐龙不是冷血动物所以才灭绝了，过错，原文表达的是冷血动物对气候更灵敏，更不简单活，已然它们都活下来了，那理论就有问题了。
C说冷血动物比恐龙更简单坚持身体温度，过错，应该是更难才对。
D选项说冷血动物对气候改变不如恐龙灵敏，过错，应该是更灵敏才对。
